When I give my school presentations, I always end with the question, "What's the best gift you've ever had?"

The answers are too numerous to list here, but usually they run the gamut from a labrador puppy to the latest high tech video game. Then I slowly unwrap my best gift.

It never fails to elicit loud gasps of wonder and delight from everyone in the room - a beautiful wooden carving of The Giant King himself. A friend of mine, Ed Fink, who runs the Orphan Train Project, commissioned a woodcarver called, Denny Williams, to make this carving for me. It arrived on my doorstep on St. Patrick's day, and continues to be the best gift I've ever had!
